Glenlea Flowers

The owners Sue and Rob MacLeod along with their daughter Heather MacLeod and Arielle DeCraene bring you new releases every year as well as sticking with chosen varieties that they know perform in southern Manitoba, because after all, you have to know what our climate is like to truly appreciate the challenges it presents.

You will find annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, finished containers, baskets and more at their retail location.

Arielle After Sue graduated from university she worked for several years for other garden centres where she was entertained with the idea of starting her own greenhouse one day. In 1992, shortly after starting a family Sue, along with Rob, started their own greenhouse business.

They located the greenhouse south of Winnipeg along the Red River close to the town of Ste. Agathe in the area known as Glenlea.

In the first years, wholesaling was the foundation of the sales. As their family grew, so did the business, and the development of the fundraising program evolved. Each year they added another greenhouse to accommodate the demand, building to the current size of over one acre of greenhouse growing area.

With Arielle and Heather, the second generation, involved now, Glenlea Greenhouses continues to offer fundraising alternative to schools and non-profit groups in and around Winnipeg.

In the spring at their retail location you find friendly expert advice in a country atmosphere which is both enjoyable and relaxing. You can also find them, most often in their orange hats, at Farmer’s Markets in Winnipeg always willing to offer you the best of themselves and of what is in the greenhouse. They look forward to seeing you.
