Glenlea Greenhouses has been propagating nursery stock since its inception in 1992. Starting with hardy rose propagation, we now propagate over 100 varieties of trees, shrubs and small fruits. Using only known, true to type stock plants, cuttings are available as bare root, 2 1/2 inch plugs and 3 1/2 inch pot material. We are members of the Canadian Ornamental Plant Foundation and support breeders by paying royalties on registered varieties.
Glenlea Greenhouses is a licensed propagator of Haskap and Sour Cherries from the University of Saskachewan.
Haskap have blueberry flavored fruit that begin ripening in early July and may continue to August and September. Tundra is suited for commercial harvesting and sorting, whereas the larger fruit of Borealis is best harvested by hand.
We currently propagate Romeo, Juliet, Cupid, and Crimson Passion Sour Cherries.
