Large Perennials 4.5 inch Pot
These perennials are grown in larger pots because of their root sizes. Heights vary, please check the more information buttons for each plant. When selecting perennials please consider the following:
- Bloom time-Try to stagger the bloom period of your selections over the whole season. Select from spring, summer and fall bloomers to have color all season long.
- Light Levels- Consider the lighting in your bed in summer when all trees are leafed out. Group plants of similar light requirements together.
- Heights- Choose plants of different heights so all can be seen throughout the season. Even when not in bloom, many perennials have unique leaf textures to enjoy the entire season. Layer your perennial bed with tall, medium and low varieties. If a plant grows taller than those behind it, move it in the fall to a more appropriate location.
- Deadheading- Many varieties can give you a second flush of blooms later in the season if you deadhead.
- Animal resistance-resistance means the animal will avoid it. If there is nothing else to eat, it may still be damaged. They are not animal proof.
